The 'Shende Tang' (Hall of Prudent Virtue) mark is an Imperial Daoguang mark commemorating the Daoguang Emperor's resi dence of that name in the Yuanming Yuan in the outskirts of Beijing, which was completed in 1831, thus making Daoguang pieces with this mark attributable to the two decades between 1831 and 1850, see S.Pierson, Rare Marks on Chinese Ceramics, London, 1998, p.36 - Minor wear, traces of use
