Japan, early Edo periodH. 25,5 cm
Seated with legs crossed, his right hand in the abhayamudra while the left is resting in clasped gesture on his lap, originally holding an attribute, wearing monastic garment including a wide-sleeved mantle, his face displaying a serene expression with downast eyes below arched eyebrows that run into the nose-bridge, inlaid urna at his forehead, and his hair combed in a high chignon covered with a veil, the underside of base with two inscriptions.
