Description:

North-India, 16th cent.

Seated in vajrasana on a conical-shaped pedestal cast with a band of lotus petals all around, her principle hands in varada- and abhayamudra, her secondary hands holding club and trident, wearing sari fastened around the waist with a belt, bejewelled, her face displaying a serene expression with almond-shaped eyes below slightly arched eyebrows, smiling lips, elongated earlobes with ear plugs, her hair combed in a chignon showing a curled knot at the backside and secured with a tiara.
Formerly from a German private collection, assembled before 2007 - Minor wear
