Description:
Tibeto-Chinese, 18th centuryH. 26,cm
Standing in samabhanga on a separately cast lotus pedestal, the main hands raised in anjalimudra in front of the chest, the other six arms wrapped radiantly around the body, the hands adorned with various gestures and attributes, the dhoti tied around the waist with a ribbon knotted at the front, the shawl draped around the shoulders, jewellery with red coral and turquoise beads inserted in a post-trimmed manner;The head consists of eleven faces, the top one representing Buddha Amitabha, with a predominantly serene expression and downcast eyes under arched eyebrows, painted facial details and blue coloured hair fastened with tiaras, with consecration fillings, re-sealed.
