Description:
Tibet, ca. 19th cent.H. 14,8 cm
Standing with his multiple legs in pratyalidhasana on several divinities reclining on the lotus base, his principle arms embracing his consort, the hands holding karttrika and kapala, the other four hands grasping the elephant skin draped over his back and showing the tarjanimudra, wings behind, wearing skirt, garlands of skulls and severed heads, bejewelled, his three cold-gilded faces displaying a severe expression, painted facial details, the red coloured flaming hairdo decorated with the horse head and his partner holding the kapala and karttrika, resealed.
Important Southern German private collection collected until 2004, this bronze was acquired at Galerie Koller, 26.11.1993, lot 103 - Very slightly chipped, minor wear
