A gold pendant

Description:

Nepal. 19th/20th century.
H. 7 cm
Open curved shape with Vishnu as the central figure made of green-backed rock crystal. Vishnu sits on the back of Canida, whose body is made of coral and whose wings are made of türkises. Two figures with crossed lapis lazuli legs on the sides. Sides. All four figures wear beautiful gold crowns. Turquoise ornament on a gold filigree background at the reverse. Finial with a small ruby in a gold setting.
