A large netsuke of a standing sennin with drum

Standing, made of well carved boxwood with good patina. In his right hand he holds the mallet for the drum hanging from his apron, his left hand raised on his head.
From an old private collection Rhineland, collected before 1985, coll. no. 63 (with note 5/(19)75 Gross Wiesbaden Ringer Netsuke) - traces of wear, feet old repl. (?)
