The central part of the painting is occupied by Cudhapanthaka, who is probably seated on an elaborate throne, both hands in a meditation gesture, wearing a small robe;his äold face is framed by white eyebrows, moustache, goatee and hair, the upper edge shows Rahula holding a jewelled crown and Bakula with jewels;and Bakula with the jewelled mongoose, the lower area probably shows Gopaka holding a manuscript in both hands and Nagasena holding the begging stick;all seated on cushions or a throne, in clösterly robes, their faces with meditative expressions, whiteß and black-coloured facial features and all in a mountain landscape, in velvet and brocade mounts.
