The round box and cover fashioned in the shape of a persimmon carved in the slightly recessed lid with the top and attached twig of the fruit, lacquered in gold with accents of hiramaki-e and kimpun, the interior nashiji.
From an old North German private collection, acquired between 1992 and 1994, this kogo purchased at Christie's New York, 27.4.1994, lot 160 - Very minor wear to stand, good condition
