A part-gilt bronze in the shape of a 'zhi'

Description:

China, Song to Ming dynasty
H. 12,2 cm
Oval in cross-section, in the style of a zhi, on a flared footß with a pear-shaped body and wide mouth. Engraved meander around the neck and a sculpted ram's head on each of the two broad sides. Gilt and malachite-coloured spots and incrustations.
