Nepal, 18th/ 19th cent.

Standing in samapada on a separate embossed lotus base, his principle hands in vitarkamudra and holding the cakra while both upper hands carrying the shankha and showing the vitarkamudra, the latter originally holding an attribute, wearing dhoti fastened around his hips with a belt ornamented with pendants flanking the central buckle set with a turquoise bead, a pair of sashes falling down along the sides of his legs, bejewelled, his face displaying a serene expression with downcast eyes below arched eyebrows that run into his nose-bridge, smiling lips, pierced elongated earlobes, his hairdo combed in a chignon topped with a ratna and secured with an elaborate tiara.
