Description:

Tibeto-Chinese, 18th cent.
H. 10,8 cm
Seated in vajrasana on a lotus base with her right hand in varadamudra while the left is showing the vitarka gesture, a pair of lotus stems rising from the base and flowering along her upper arms, wearing sari, scarf draped across her chest, bejewelled, her face displaying a serene expression with downcast eyes below arched eyebrows that run into the nose-bridge, her hair combed in a chignon secured with a tiara decorated with a pair of floating ribbons, resealed.
