Transportable mandala of the red Vajrapani with scorpion. Painting on primed canvas mounted on a square wooden core. Such transportable mandalas are among the ritual objects that the lamas take with them when travelling and use for various rites. Comes with a wooden shrine with a coloured frame depicting Citipati.
Old and important German private collection, collected since the 1950s until 2007, coll. no. 13, which indicates an acquisition before 1990 and coll. no. 285 - Slightly chipped and traces of age
