Description:

China, Warring States period, ca. 3rd century BC.
L. 18,2 cm
Moulded in a prancing pose with open mouth. Its body is inlaid with sprial-shaped tendrils and silver on the back, head, tail and sides. The eyes are inlaid with glass. Reddish patinated bronze.
Important South German private collection, acquired at Nagel Auktionen, 17.05.2008, lot 2 from an old Berlin private collection, according to tradition collected before 1990
