Ink and colours on silk, silk mount, framed under glass. Set of füve fine paintings with approx. 64 famous characters from the novel from the Ming dynasty "Water Margin" (Shui Hu Zhuan). Each figure shown with his name, including Lin Chong, Wu Song and Li Kui. Two artist seals on one painting: Leng Mei, Jichen.
Old and important German private collection, collected since the 1950s until 2007 - Minor wear, minor age dam.
