China, Jiaqing periodH. 74,4 cm
Decorated around the body on turquoise and key-fret ground with quails and butterflies in a lively landscape of millet, bamboo, chrysanthemum, and plantains, within bat and lappet bands, the neck with lotos blossoms and scrolls around the Eight Buddhist Emblems 'bajixiang', above a band of stiff plantain leaves and bats among cloud scrolls on a red ground, with another band of 'ruyi' below the mouth.
