Xie Dongming (谢东明), born in Beijing in 1956, is a renowned Chinese contemporary oil painter and influential art educator. He graduated from the Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA) in 1984 and has since held several prominent positions there. Xie's artistic style is characterized by expressive realism, utilizing bold, saturated colors and dynamic brushwork. His paintings often depict rural life and portraits, capturing the essence of his subjects with a unique blend of vigor and sensitivity. Throughout his career, Xie has exhibited internationally, with notable solo exhibitions such as “Xie Dongming Art Works 2004-2014” in Beijing and “SELF SPACE” at the National Gallery of Indonesia . His works have also achieved significant recognition in the art market.
