Two Peonies. Fan Painting mounted as album leaf, ink and light colors on paper. Inscription and signature by the artist: “Old brother Chenggong (Sun Fushi, 1608-1673)… Your younger brother Nantian Shouping.” Two seals of the artist: “Shouping”, “Shuzi”. Three collector’s seals.

Yun Shouping, style names Nantian, Shuzi et al., was from Wujin (today Changzhou) in Jiangsu province. He was the foremost painter of flowers in the seventeenth century and became the model of all subsequent flower painters of the Qing period
