Fire-gilt bronze case, glass displayed windows screwed onto the sides, on four bun feet and hinged bottom plaque with bell. Silver dial with Roman numerals. Fire-gilt verge escapement with chain and fusee, hour striking on bottom bell. Marked on movement: Christoph Miller Augsburg. Movement not tested. Minor traces of age.

According to Jürgen Abeler, Christoph Miller, also known as Müller, was born in Augsburg in 1620. He is listed as an independent clockmaker from 1643 onwards. He died after 1651. Numerous works by Miller are known, including a lion automaton clock.
