Description:
South German/Austria, early 18th centuryH. 115 cm
The emaciated body of the dead Christ hanging sunk down with knees bent to his left. The head with closed eyes and slightly parted lips resting on his right shoulder, the loose drapes of his perizonium tied with rope; the features of the body are executed with particular care for anatomical detail. Several slight damages, the polychromy later, the cross later.
