The moulded red and white variegated marble top above four various drawers on cabriole legs ending in C-scroll sabots, stamped F.A. Mondon and Migeon, rest. with additions. With German stamp of the "Stadtmuseum Mülhausen Els." (today Mulhouse Alsace).
From an important South German private collection, collected since the 1960s
With its fine marquetry and detailed ormolu mounts this is a fine example of Francois Mondon. Mondon is recorded to have collaborated and supplied furniture to the celebrated marchand ebeniste Pierre II Migeon (maître circa 1725)
