The centre of the painting is occupied by Buddha Shakyamuni seated in vajrasana on a lotus base with his right hand lowered in the bhumisparshamudra while the left is resting on his lap supporting the blue coloured alms-bowl, wearing monastic garment, his face displaying a serene expression with downcast eyes below arched eyebrows, urna at his forehead, blue coloured hairdo continuing into the ushnisha, floral double halo behind, flanked and surrounded by many rows with minute manifestations of the main figure, in brocade mounting, framed.
