North-India, 19th cent.77 x 46,5 cm / 81,2 x 51,2 cm
The centre of the painting with a large egg-shaped medallion showing probably Krishna in standing posture, his ten arms radiating around him, his body with a mountainous roundel around his waist, his body is decorated with several pavillions, some with divinities and gopis, his multiple faced head showing almond-shaped eyes, the egg-shaped medallion placed against a pair of rocky mountains, one supporting a pavillion, the other seeing Shiva and Parvati and the upper register with two oblong medallions containing several scenes with Krishna, framed and glazed.
