The centre with Buddha Shakyamuni seated in vajrasana on a lotus base placed on a lion throne, his right hand lowered in bhumisparshamudra while the left is resting on his lap, wearing monastic garment including underskirt and mantle covering his left shoulder, his face displaying a serene expression, his hair continuing into the ushnisha, double halo behind, placed against an elaborate throne backslab topped with the khyung-bird, flanked by Sariputra and Maudgalyayana and two groups of debating monks and surrounded by a myriad of manifestations of the Buddha, in brocade mounting.
