Description:
China, Ming dynastyD. 63 cm
Of circular form with a large five-clawed yellow dragon above waves and a further smaller red dragon. The border depicts twelve lotos blossoms amidst scrollwork.
From an important German private collection, acquired on April 23, 1983, from A. C. Beeling & Zoon Antiquairs, Leeuwarden, Netherlands (copy of the invoice preserved)
