Expressive, naturalistic depiction of a rearing, snarling tiger engaged in combat with two wolves. One of the wolves lies sideways beneath the tiger’s forepaws, which press down upon it in an attempt to subdue it. At the same time, the tiger is attacked from behind by a second wolf that has leapt onto its back and bites at it ferociously. Dark-patinated bronze; the tiger’s eyes inlaid with glass. Signed on the underside of the tiger. Separate rootwood base.
