On a slightly warped wooden base with a wooden cover, with a 'taihu' stone handle in the style of larger scholar's rocks.
Formerly collection of Jan van der Linden (1878-1947) and then Hilde Eisele (1910-1983), through inheritance in family property, partly illustrated in "Das Ideale Heim - Eine schweizer Monatsschrift für Kunst un Leben", issue June 1933, pp. 205-210 and issue August 1934, pp. 281-286 - Overall good condition
