The rectangular panel is divided into two sections, the upper one with Buddha Shakyamuni standing on a lotus base placed on a pedestal with his right hand in vitarkamudra while the left is stretched downwards along his body, wearing monastic garment, his face displaying a serene expression, flanked by probably the standing Sariputra and Maudgalyayana with both hands in veneration gesture and the lower register with the seated Buddha Shakyamuni attacked by the troops of Mara before reaching enlightenment
