Shoulder vase. On the front is the Chrysanthemum Crest (菊花紋章, kikkamonshō), rendered as a stylized flower with sixteen full and sixteen half petals arranged alternately. This emblem, exclusively reserved for the Japanese Imperial Family, is among the most important national and symbolic insignia of Japan.
