Description:

Triptych. Anonymous painter, ink, strong colours and gold on silk. The central painting shows a Buddhist triad, referred to as the Amitābha Triptych, below which six Bodhisattvas are depicted. The two other paintings flanking this triad show Manjushri (Munsu) on his white lion with two guardian deities in the upper section, and Samantabhadra riding his white elephant with six tusks, accompanied by two further Heavenly Kings. In the lower section of the painting depicting Manjushri, inscriptions with the dating and details of the donors.
From an old German private collection, acquired in Korea in the 1970s - Framed under glass, partially wear and signs of age, slightly damaged
