In the 2002 publication 'Demons and Protectors - Folk Religion in Tibetan and Mongolian Buddhism', Béla Kelényi describes these paintings, some of which are illustrated on page 63, as follows: 'Fig. 36: A diagram to determine the favourable or unfavourable intentions of the Parkhas and two revolving circles belonging to the figure.
