Description:
Tibeto-Chinese, 18th cent.H. 9,3 cm
Standing in alidhasana on a separately moulded bull resting on a lotus pedestal, both hands showing Tarjanimudra, naked, with phallus, shawl around the shoulders, mala of severed heads, Channavira, adorned with jewels, his bull-like head with bulging eyes under raised eyebrows, snout curved upwards with open mouth;head with bulging eyes under raised eyebrows, upturned snout with open mouth showing a double row of teeth and hooves, a pair of curved horns, a pair of pointed ears and his red coloured flaming coiffure secured with a tiara adorned with jewels, resealed in wooden box.
