In the style of Yun Shouping (1633-1690)

Flowers and birds in a garden. Ink and light colours on silk, fragment of a long horizontal scroll, mounted and framed under glass. Depicting a garden scene in early spring: sparrows on blossoming plum branches, a quail next to a bush of white daffodils and red camellias, a pair of mandarin ducks in the water. Five collector's seals on the left edge of the picture: "Langya Wang shi shi bao", "xiping zhen cang", "zi sun bao zhi", "zi qing xin shang", "qiu wu zhen cang".

Yun Shouping, also known as Nantian, was a Chinese calligrapher and painter. He was a major artist of the early Chinese Qing dynasty. Along with the Four Wangs and Wu Lì, he was regarded as one of the "Six Masters" of the Qing period - Signs of age, partially wear, minor repairs
