Ink and light colours on paper, framed under glass in a passepartout. Half-naked lady sitting on a flat stone under a tree branch. Next to her lies a fan. Entitled: "Gongshan tu" (Painting with a palace fan), sign. "painted at the request of Mr Ma Anxi (Marcello Assandri) in 1988 by Dafeng Xinjian". Seal: Xinjian.

Zhu Xinjian comes from Nanjing in Jiangsu province, native of Dafeng. He graduated from Nanjing University of the Arts in 1980 and was a member of the Chinese Artists' Association. He is a representative of "New Literati Painting", with women as his main subject. He has designed cartoon characters for the Shanghai Animation Film Studio and CCTV and held exhibitions in China, Belgium and France - Good condition, minimal creases
