The fairy Magu in a dugout canoe on the way to celebrate a birthday. Ink and colors on silk, mounted as a hanging scroll. Inscription and signature of the painter: "The immortal on a dugout canoe wishes a long life. Painted in the Chiachen year (1724) on the day of Buddha's birthday. The court painter Jin Zunnian." Three seals of the painter: "Painter of the Inner Court" (neiting huashi), "Court Painter" (gongfeng), and others. Two collector's seals lower right. Under a steep, overhanging cliff, the fairy Magu rows in a dugout canoe to the birthday celebration. Her flower basket and a crane are also in the boat. The landscape elements are painted in a decorative blue-green style, and the fairy is depicted in fine figure painting.

Jin Zunnian was a court painter who was mainly active in the Yongzheng period (1723-1735) and painted decorative figure paintings in a meticulous style, as well as flowers and birds. A hanging scroll with a parrot and pear blossoms is in the Metropolitan Museum in New York
