Description:

Thailand, U-Thong period 15th/16th cent.
H. 53 cm
Seated in sattvasana on a shaped pedestal with his right hand lowered in bhumisparshamudra while the left is resting on his lap, wearing uttarasangha and samghati, his face displaying a serene expression with downcast eyes below arched eyebrows touching his nose-bridge, smiling lips, elongated earlobes and the curled hairdo continuing into the ushnisha topped with a flame.
