The Green Tara is occupying the centre of the painting, seated in lalitasana on a lotus base, her hands showing varadamudra and vitarkamudra, both holding stems of lotuses flowering along the upper arms, wearing sari, bejewelled, her face displaying a serene expression, halos behind, the upper register with the red coloured Buddha Amitabha flanked by Manjushri and Amitayus, the lower section with Vajrapani and Jambhala, further the main figure is surrounded by seven other green painted manifestations of the main goddess and all placed in a mountainous landscape, inscription in Newari along the lower border, in brocade mounting, framed and glazed.
