Description:

North-West India, 15th/ 16th cent.

The shrine is showing a Jain tirthankara in the centre seated in vajrasana on a cushion placed on a throne, both hands in dhyanamudra, wearing dhoti, his chest with the shrivatsa-emblem, his face displaying a serene expression, parasol above his head flanked by a pair of elephants, surrounded by several Jain masters, attendants and worshippers and a halo behind, the reverse with lengthy inscription.
