Description:
Tibet and Nepal, 18th/19th centuryH. 18,5/ 34,7 cm
The largest plaque horse-shoe shaped with the centre occupied by Jambhala riding a horse trotting over a mountain range, his hands with treasure-box and nakula, wearing various garments, his face displaying a severe expression and his hair combed backwards secured with a tiara and placed within a niche; and the second plaque representing Amoghapashalokeshvara standing on a lotus base, his eight arms radiating around his body and his face displaying a serene expression
From the Helmut Ploog Collection (1940 - 2024), collected from 1965 onwards - The mount of the smaller panel added with minor damage to the top, the larger panel with wea and slightly soiled
