The binding of lacquered papier-mâché, decorated with figural depictions in a landscape. Frontispiece and margins with arabesque, polychrome gouache and gold painting. Text in black ink, probably a commentary on the Qur'an.
From the collection of the art dealer and collector Saeed Motamed (1925-2013), collected from the 1950s until 2005, largely documented in inscriptions from 1998 through drawings and Persian descriptions. This book was returned to Saeed Motamed by the Berlin State Library in 2011, where it had been stored since 2004 and could not be acquired due to insufficient funds. - Minor damage due to age, stained
