A head of a bronze axe, with figurative decoration in relief in the area of the mounting nodus. The end of the blade decorated with a plastically moulded, bearded Janus head; a handle of a bronze dagger with crescent-shaped grip scales; fastening element of a bronze axe; a link between axe handle and blade. The outer ridge decorated with a stylised animal figure. Missing elements on two of the artefacts supplemented in perspex.
From the collection of art dealer and collector Saeed Motamed (1925-2013), collected since the 1950s, largely documented in a 1998 inventory with drawings and Persian descriptions.
