Two glazed ceramic tiles

Probably Ottoman 16th /17th c.
21 x 44 cm / 25 x 48 cm, R.
Two tiles from a pattern frieze. White slip with glaze in blue, green, turquoise, black and aubergine. Within arabesque cartouches, a decoration of various floral motifs typical of the Ottoman style is applied: tulips, hyacinths and carnations, accompanied by a stylised cypress.
From a North German private collection, assembled before 1967 by the grandfather according to the present owner - Partial losses and glaze damage, minimally restored; both tiles mounted in a wood frame
