A Qur'an with a red-brown leather binding, decorated with arabesque gold embossing. Illuminated frontispiece in gold and polychrome gouaches. Texts in black ink, colophon with date 123 d.H. (1123?) = 1711, plus another leather-bound manuscript.
From the collection of the art dealer and collector Saeed Motamed (1925-2013), collected from the 1950s until 2005, largely documented in inscriptions from 1998 through drawings and Persian descriptions. This book was returned to Saeed Motamed by the Berlin State Library in 2011, where it had been stored since 2004 and could not be acquired due to insufficient funds. - Minor damage due to age, some pages missing, stained
