A bronze footed and lidded bowl

Description:

Persia, possibly 15th cent.
H. 19,7 cm; D.16,7 cm
Of flared base with a bulbous body, the lid with an onion-shaped finial, engraved with geometric motifs and a geometric ornamental band around the centre.
From the collection of the art dealer and collector Saeed Motamed (1925-2013), collected from the 1950s onwards, largely documented in inscriptions from 1998 through drawings and Persian descriptions.
