A LOUIS XV BRASS MOUNTED PENDULE RELIGIEUSE

Display case with brown tortoiseshell veneer and brass decorations. Cast front with white enamel cartouches, Roman numerals and decorated, blued iron hands, signed ‘Gaudron à Paris’ (Antoine Gaudron 1640-1714, became a master watchmaker in Paris in 1675). The movement is also signed. Large spindle movement with 8-day running time, half-hour striking on bell and thread suspension of the pendulum. Age-related damages, restored, functionality not tested.
