Peasant, sitting on a strongly branched camellia trunk. In front of him a tub, in his right hand a sickle, the object (possibly a pipe) in his left hand missing. Signed on an inset red lacquer plate: Seiryo.
From an old private collection in the Hunsrück region, acquired in the 1990s - Publ. in: Lempertz Köln, Auction 697, 26/27 Nov. 1993, lot 832 - The EU trade certificate for the sale of this lot has been granted - Little damaged, minor rep.
