Tibeto-Chinese, late 18th cent.H. 10,1 cm
Standing in samabhanga on a separate cast lotus base, his eight arms radiating around his body with the principle hands showing the namaskaramudra, wearing dhoti, scarf draped around his body, bejewelled, his eleven-faced head showing various expressions, the upper one of Buddha Amitabha and their hair secured with tiaras, sealed.
An important private collection from southern Germany, assembled between 1956 and 2007, collection no. 20060, according to tradition bought from Joachim Baader, November 2000, Schoettle Ostasiatica, Munich - Wear to gilding
