Silver, repoussé. Rectangular panels depicting lovers from the Mythology. In the lower left and right corners respectively, the Augsburg hallmark and the maker’s mark of Peter Winter (master c. 1651, d. 1702, cf. Seling No. 1573). Silver proof line on the reverse. Weight approx. 81 and 89g respectively. Drilled holes at the corners. Signs of age. Later red velvet frames with old collector’s labels.
In a collection in southern Germany for decades; acquired after 1945.
