Both halves of the case are made of nephrite. Gold mounting ‘En-Deux-Couleurs’ with laurel decoration; the clasp set with two ruby cabochons. St Petersburg hallmark with 56 (Zolotnik), Fabergé (Cyrillic) and the maker’s mark of Eduard Schramm. Approx. 167g. Slight signs of age.
