Description:
Southern Persia, Fars region, probably Gashgai, c. 1900187 (215) x 154 cm
This fabric, with its bright yellow ground and delicate woven ornamental design featuring flowers, boteh motifs and stylised animal motifs, was probably used as a horse blanket. It has tassels on both sides.
